Amy Kaufmann, M.S., is a sport psychology consultant who works with athletes on the mental skills necessary for peak performance. She maintains a practice in the Sacramento area where she works with professional and amateur athletes who compete on both local and national levels. Some of the sports she has consulted include baseball, fencing, golf, rowing, running, volleyball and the equestrian events of hunters, jumpers, equitation, cutting, and western pleasure.
As a competitive youth athlete in basketball, diving, soccer, softball and track, Amy developed a fascination of the mental side of sport. Today she continues her love for competition and development of her own mental toughness in equestrian sports.
Amy received her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from UC San Diego and a Master of Science in Sport Performance from California State University, Sacramento. She is a member of the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP).
